Mayor of the City of Białystok Tadeusz Truskolaski has the pleasure of inviting you to the XXVI Wiesław Kazanecki Literary Prize of the Białystok City Mayor award ceremony.

Nominations to the Wiesław Kazanecki Literary Prize of the Białystok City Mayor for the best book of 2016:

  • Natalia Fiedorczuk – nominated for the book “How to love shopping malls” (Wielka Litera Publihing House, Warsaw 2016)
  • Aneta Prymaka-Oniszk – nominated for the book “Bezhenstvo 1915. Forgotten Refugees” (Czarne Publishing House, Wołowiec 2016)
  • Piotr Janicki – nominated for the book „13 Arts” (Tymoteusz Karpowicz Foundation for Culture and Education, Wrocław 2016)
  • Szymon Teżewski – nominated for the book “Etheromaniac” (Regional Center of Culture Animation, Białystok 2016)

The 2016 prize was given to:
Aneta Prymaka-Oniszk – for the book “Bezhenstvo 1915. Forgotten Refugees”
“for the pioneering elaboration of the topic of Bezhenstvo, for excellent historical reportage, that combines the local perspective with the universal experience of refugeeism”.

The ceremony will feature the performance of the Court Quartet.
