At the beginning there were two stories: a young Jewish girl who was murdered by the Germans during World War II and the destruction of Tykocin library. For Wieslawa Szumiński an impulse to create a series of works: paintings and ceramic plants. These two stories have become the artist's special commitment to using art to preserve the memory - of those who have gone irrevocably, and what once existed. The memory of the people and the world that no longer exists.
