Justyna Mielnikiewicz has been documenting events in Ukraine since 2014. Some of the photos presented at the exhibition come from her album "Ukraine runs through it", which shows events, people and their fate starting from the revolution of dignity to 2019. The remaining photos show the time of war, creating a record of human dramas, breakups, destruction, death and emptiness last few months. Each photo is associated with a specific story and specific people. They are soldiers, volunteers, refugees, unknown heroes and innocent victims of Russian aggression. The author captures in the frame their individual fates, unexpectedly and tragically entangled in the history of the region and Russia's aggressive politics.
