Ben Midler, the last known survivor of the Bialystok ghetto, and writer Marta Sawicka-Danielak found each other thanks to Yad Vashem in Israel. Despite the fact that they are half a century apart, they are compatriots - both were born in Białystok, their families lived right next to each other in the downtown. For two years they talked on the Internet, and finally met in the States. On the basis of his memories, a colorful, fictionalized story was created, which brings to life the bustling, international and multicultural pre-war Białystok.
