possibility to buy Chinese tea
A group of Chinese esperantists will visit the Białystok Cultural Centre / Ludwik Zamenhof Centre. Our guests, in addition to touring the BCC / LZC, will meet representatives of city authorities and host a traditional Chinese tea ceremony combined with screening of short films from the "teo kaj amo" festival.
The guests include: Nan Youli, honorary chairman of the Beijing Esperantists Society; Yu Jianchao, chairwoman of the Beijing Esperantists Society, Lin Lisha (Lisa), deputy secretary-general of the Tianjin Esperantists Society, Zhang Ping (Ĝoja), Wu Hanping (Harpina) and a group of tea masters led by Wang Xufeng. Additional guests include Li Jian, Jiang Kun, and Chen Hongling.
The tea ceremony masters come from Hangzhou, the city founded 2200 years ago in eastern China. In the 13th century the city was visited by Marco Polo, who described it as “greater than any in the world”. Hangzhou still retains its charm today. Beautifully situated, it has preserved numerous medieval monuments. Nearby there are also the most valuable green tea plantations. During the tea ceremony you can buy this tea precisely.
